What is Cuídate?

Cuídate is a Spanish word for "take care of yourself."

What is a Chronic Disease?

A Chronic Disease is any debilitating illness for which there is no cure. It is a condition which you must learn to live with, control and manage on a daily basis.Some Chronic Diseases found among Hispanics are Heart Disease, Diabetes, Respiratory Disorders and Arthritis.

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
• Asthma
• And any other chronic condition that exists over time but is not an immediate threat to someone's life.

Who Qualifies for Cuídate?

• Any individual who has a chronic disease and is in need of education and self-management classes.
• Individuals who are in need of help enrolling in Medicaid, Florida Kid Care and other programs.
• Individuals who are in need of information regarding health clinics, low cost medications or other community resources.

Our primary goal is to promote good health practices and link the Hispanic  residents of East Orlando with valuable community resources.
