Medicaid is a program that provides medical coverage to certain individuals who meet eligibility requirements. State and federal governments are responsible for funding Medicaid costs. In Florida, Medicaid services are administered by the Agency for Healthcare Administration.
Many families who have a limited income, individuals who are elderly and those who have a disability can obtain the free medical attention they need through Medicaid. Eligibility requirements also inlcude: citizenship and/or residency status, families with small children who are low income, women who are pregnant, individuals who are 65 and older, and individuals who are disabled or blind.
Cuídate will offer free advice orienting individuals about the requirements set by the government. We understand that assistance with medical needs varies form one individual to another, but the needs for advice and support are always the same. At Cuídate we have a bilingual coordinator available to guide you in the process of applying for services such as Medicaid and Florida KidCare.
